About the exhibition

With a unique spin on the traditions of quilting, pattern making, and abstraction, this exhibition features works by Gee’s Bend artists Louisiana Bendolph, Mary Lee Bendolph, Loretta Bennett and Loretta Pettway; along with Ruth Laskey, and Indianapolis-based artist Samuel Levi Jones. On Soft Ground highlights textile and visual artists, who have successfully translated their primary practices into colorful intaglio prints with Paulson Fontaine Press.
